2011 Discovery Vineyard Syrah

Discovery vineyard is the new rock star vineyard that everyone is calling to source fruit. It’s a very small vineyard run by Milo and Kay May and managed by Paul Champoux, a great combination. We source Syrah and Cabernet from them and are getting ready to do some custom planting on a new piece of land they purchased ( Malbec, Cab and Grenache). This Syrah is very dark and has amazing pepper and mineral notes that finishes with blackberry and graphite.  This wine will age nicely over the next 3-5 years.

2011 Mourvedre

This is clearly one of my favorite varietals to work with due to the differences I can detect from vineyard to vineyard. This gem is velvety round and dark, with a layer of cracked pepper over the core of plush plum
and leather. We aged this wine in 500 Liter puncheons which adds to the long, silky and smoky finish.
